Resin bound driveways & overlays

Ideal for town plots and newer developments off Battle Hill, Virgins Lane and Marley Lane where space is tight and you want a clean, modern finish. Smooth, modern resin bound driveways sit well alongside brick, render and timber-framed homes.

On many existing tarmac and concrete drives in and around Battle, a resin overlay can refresh the look without a full dig-out, while still allowing us to address problem areas and edging details.

Block paving driveways

Block paving suits traditional streets close to Battle Abbey and older housing across Battle, Sedlescombe, Catsfield and Netherfield. Brindle and charcoal blocks with neat soldier-course borders give strong kerb appeal and work well in conservation-style settings.

Herringbone patterns cope well with regular turning on shorter drives and shared parking areas, and we offer a range of edge details to tie in with walls, steps and garden paths.

Tarmac & tar & chip

Tarmac driveways are a practical choice for larger plots, shared yards and longer drives around Battle, Johns Cross and along the A2100 and A21 routes.

For long rural drives and access tracks, tar & chip gives a cost-effective, country-lane look – often combined with block or stone edging and neat thresholds where the drive meets the lane.

Excavation & sub-base

We remove old concrete, tarmac or block paving and install a compacted Type 1 or Type 3 sub-base to the correct depth. Falls are set so water runs away from your property and towards suitable drainage features or planted areas.

This is especially important on clay-based and sloping plots around Battle, Netherfield, Telham and Sedlescombe, where poorly built drives can rut, move or hold water after heavy rain.

Laying, edging & drainage details

Whether we’re laying resin, block paving or tarmac, we cut in neatly around steps, walls, banks, trees and drains. Channels and grates are built into the design rather than added as an afterthought, helping everything look tidy from the road.

We can convert old-style manhole covers to inset lids so they blend into the new surface – ideal for front gardens close to the High Street and shared drives off rural lanes.
